After God had finished creating everything he wanted or plan to create, he needed someone to be a care taker. In other words, a steward who will look after all that He has created.

He’ll need someone who will direct, control and govern all of his creation. A person who will have the capacity to maintain, regulates and controls the precious creatures of his work.

Someone who will be full and filled with wisdom to lead and who will always ensure togetherness and unity among his creation.

God in his own wisdom didn’t want someone who’ll only lead but a person who will also contribute to his creation and expand his territory (kingdom).

So in the verse 26 of Genesis 1, the trend of creation changed. Now God did not command or call it out of something which He has already created but rather, He began to point to himself.

Because the kind of  creature which God wanted to create this time  would be something full of potentials and authority.

Since no able creature exists at this time, God began to point to Himself and He said;

“Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”

And I love the verse 27;

So God created human being in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

And I also figured out that, human being was not an ordinary or a mere creature among his creation but also A PART OF HIMSELF.

Which he has established to take dominion and that is to lead, control or to govern.

And the part of God which is human is the LIFE GIVING BREATHE that he breathed into human to become a living soul and body.

Since God has life and He lives, He made human to also live to be called a living soul.

And that part of God that he breathed into human was his potentials and creating abilities. In other words, (HIS ATTRIBUTES). Which constitute to his authority and power.

So human being, a body of God that He made to resemble and to reflect his beauty and attributes.
