National Commission For Civic Education (NCCE) With Help From The European Union (EU) Has Coordinated A Day’s Workshop For 40 Political Party Youth Activists
The Kwahu South Municipal Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) with help from the European Union (EU) has coordinated a day’s workshop for 40 Political Party youth Activists.
The workshop formed piece of the exercises to guarantee serene races on December 7.
The general objective of the workshop was to ‘guarantee a savage free political race, straightforward and serene political climate before, during and after the political decision’.
Among points talked about at the workshop were; Public Order Act and Elections 2020, prospect and difficulties, discretionary offenses and assents, diagram of public races guidelines (C.I 127), implicit rules for political factions and vigilantism and related offenses Act 2019.
The conversations were encouraged by the District Police Commander, the Municipal Electoral Officer and the NCCE Regional Director individually.

Talking on the theme, ‘Engaging the youth to go to bat for Ghana for a serene political decision 2020’, Madam Ticklar Asante-Asiamah, the Municipal NCCE Director said the youth should have been furnished with the fundamental information and aptitudes on peacefulness to empower them partake successfully in the discretionary cycle, henceforth the workshop.
She said the workshop was to sharpen activists on their functions towards guaranteeing serene political decision and connect with them to distinguish their interests and request their responsibility towards a tranquil political decision.
Mr Alex Sackey, the Eastern Regional NCCE Director said the program was being coordinated in 60 chose regions the nation over and it was focused at flashpoint voting demographics or potential pain points.
He took members through Vigilantism and Related Offenses Act, 2019 where he implored the youth to disband careful gatherings since it was against the rules that everyone must follow.
