Diocesan Methodist Bishop for Accra and Greater Accra Reginal Chairman of the National Peace Council, Rt. Fire up. Samuel K. Osabutey, has urged young people to desist from violence before, during, and after the elections on December 7, 2020.
He said this in a meeting during the GAP 2020, coordinated by Youth In Focus, Ghana (YIFG) on the theme: ‘Standing In The GAP for Ghana Towards Peaceful Elections’ as a team with the Ghana Peace Council and Dr. Ebenezer Tetteh Ministries, in commendations and love for God to intercede in the nation’s peace in the current year’s official and parliamentary elections.
Speaking, Rev Osabutey said destitution ought not be the reason for the adolescent to be financially tempted to enjoy fierce exercises.
He said peace is costly and that, young people ought not sell their heart because of neediness to cause pandemonium in the current year’s political decision.
Convener for YIFG, Priscilla Mawusenam encouraged the young to pick peace over violence and tolerate and regard each other’s suppositions.
