(Press Conference) Sammy Gyamfi Claims As Far Back The NDC Has Won Many Parliamentary Seats, It Was Appropriate John Mahama Should Be President Elect

The National Democratic Congress has held a press conference to address the nation for the second time after the declaration of electoral results.

For the NDC, the electoral Commissioner, Jean Mensa has manipulated the results for President Akufo-Addo, subsequently, won’t accept the outcome.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) says it won’t accept the consequence of the 2020 presidential decisions as announced by the Electoral Commission.

Speaking at a press conference, a leading individual from the party, Asiedu Nketia, said the NDC has “overpowering” proof that demonstrates that the party’s candidate, John Dramani Mahama won the political decision.

“As a party, we have had broad consultations and detailed analysis of the result of the decisions as announced by Jean Mensa, the EC chair.”

“We have arrived at just a single overpowering decision, that it is a flawed defamed political race and therefore we reject the presidential outcome with no reservation,” he said.

His remark comes not many hours after the EC Chairperson Jean Mensa announced NPP’s Nana Akufo-Addo as the duly elected president of Ghana.

From the EC’s collated results, he surveyed 6,730,413 which speaks to 51.59% of the total votes cast nationwide on December 7.

His nearest competitor, John Mahama of the NDC also surveyed 6,214,889 which gives him 47.36% of the total votes cast.

Notwithstanding, the NDC accept that there are attempts to ransack the party off both their presidential and parliamentary victory.

He revealed that John Mahama had composed an appeal to the EC before the results were announced to voice his interests over the collation.

“That (appeal) was treated with most extreme disdain and that we think about unacceptable. We also want to serve notice that the blatant effort even to deny us a parliamentary majority will be furiously stood up to.”

According to NDC communicator Sammy Gyamfi, the party is taking “conclusive” choices to challenge the presidential and parliamentary results as read by the EC.

“yesterday Ghana’s democracy went under serious attack and needs some salvage desperately.”

“If not protected these attacks will cultivate and develop into future races and that will distort our track record, as a genuine democratic nation,” he added.

And Also said As far back as the NDC has won many parliamentary seats its appropriate that his excellency John Dramani Mahama was supposed to be the president elect and so the NDC is not accepting results pronounced by EC Boss Jean Mensah.
