There is nothing like Reggae Dancehall Music-Black Prophet

The lack of Root Rock Reggae artist winning award in Ghana is due to the name Reggae Dancehall because there is nothing like Reggae Dancehall Music. This was lamented by Reggae musician Kenneth Wilberforce Zonto Bossman popularly known as Black Prophet.

The “Why You Are Doubting Me” hitmaker argued on an interview with KMJ on Joy Prime said, Reggae is different and dancehall is different so a musician can’t do just one like a dancehall and win Reggae dancehall award. Either you do reggae or you do dancehall but not to mingle the two genres. He further said that Bob Marley or Burning Spear weren’t doing dancehall but reggae and still there are top artist in Jamaica who do reggae yet it’s not classified as a dancehall.

Black Prophet also urged musicians and up and coming ones to do more of the root rock reggae music since all the awards are been giving to the so called reggae dancehall artist yet they don’t do reggae.
