Allotey Jacobs ends quiet subsequent to being sacked from NDC

The previous Central Regional Chairman of the resistance National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has said that he left the NDC before the gathering fired him.

“Around fourteen days prior, I said I host left the get-together. I’m not, at this point an individual from the NDC,” he said in a meeting.

He added that the articulation is “clever”, adding that the gathering ought to have written to advise him regarding their acknowledgment of his renunciation from the gathering and not a letter ousting him from the gathering.

The NDC in a proclamation declared the ejection of Mr Jacobs following a proposal from its Functional Executive Committee.

“At our gathering on Wednesday seventeenth March, the Functional Executive Committee’ of the NDC considered the report and proposals of the Disciplinary Committee working on this issue or wrongdoing and hostile to party conduct brought against you Mr Allotey Jacobs in accordance with article 48(1) (b) and 8 (b) of the NDC Constitution. The Committee’s report which is in this joined for your consideration saw you as liable of the said claims of unfortunate behavior, against party lead and suggested in addition to other things your prompt ejection from the gathering,” an assertion by the gathering said.

It added: “The Functional Executive Committee acting in consistence of Article 48(1) of the NDC Constitution has consistently received the report and acknowledges completely its proposal for your ejection from the gathering.

“You are accordingly by the choice of FEC been removed from the National Democratic Congress and so far as that is concerned not any more perceived as an individual from the gathering and can’t conduct yourself all things considered. You are by this letter and compliant with Article 48(10) coordinated to return any gathering properties that might be in your care and will relinquish any cash, duty or membership expenses made to the Party”.

Mr Jacobs has openly expressed he will support and lobby for Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia to supplant President Akufo-Addo when his residency closes in 2024.
