Yesterday, it was reported almost on all news portals that Ghanaian actress and social media sensation Rosemond Alade Brown popularly known as Akuapem Poloo had been granted bail after she was being arrested.
The actress was jailed for 90 days for posting a n*de photo to celebrate the birthday of his son last year.
Following her arrest a lot of Ghanaians protested on social media calling for her release indicating that her punishment was harsh.
Lo and behold, thir calls have been answered as Akuapem Poloo has been granted bail of an amount of GHS 80,000.
The question that comes to mind therefore is why was Akuapem Poloo is bailed?
Upon our own investigations, we have gathered that the decision by the court to grant her bail is what is called suspension of sentence.
Also, Akuapem Poloo sentence has been suspended pending the appeal her lawyers have filed, and that the suspension of the sentence pending an appeal is at the judge’s discretion and in this case, the judge decided to allow her to walk free because she satisfied the four grounds of bail pending appeal.
