His excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffu Addo on the 26th of April 2021 nominated Mr. Kissi Agyebeng for the office of Special Prosecutor since Martin Amidu resigned his office.
Mr. Kissi Agyebeng is a lecturer at the university of Ghana school of law.
On April 16 2021, The Anthony General Mr. Godfred Dame and The Minister of Justice in a letter wrote to The President of the Republic to Nominate Mr. Kissi Agyebeng as the next Special Prosecutor.
Mr. Kissi Agyebeng, if approved by parliament will become Ghana’s second special prosecutor under the 4th republic.
According to section 13 (8) of the office of the special prosecutor act 2017, Act959 state that, when the office of the special prosecutor becomes unoccupied, the president shall appoint qualified personnel to occupy the office within 6 months.

Mr. Kissi Agyebeng has been a prominent lecture at the university of Ghana law school since October 2016. Researching and teaching into legal research and writing, international law, corporate law, criminal law and humanitarian law.
In 2001, Mr. Agyebeng was awarded the Bentsi-Enchill for the best passing student of the university of Ghana school of law.
However, he proceeded to the Ghana school of law and was called to the Bar in October, 2003. Mr. Agyebeng obtained the E.N. Sowah Memorial prize as the best student in family law.
Mr. Kissi Agyebeng has participated in numerous international arbitrations and argued series of cases before the most authoritative court of the land.
Mr. Agyebeng has Seek for public sector facilities like, Youth Employment Authority, Ghana Olympic Committee, Trade Fair Company Limited, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, National Lottery Authority, Exim Bank Ghana Limited And The Anthony General’s Department.
He is also an associate at Cyber-Crime Prevention and African Center for Cyber Law, he is the national Moot court coordinator for the commonwealth Moot court competition on international criminal justice. He then the vice chairperson of the Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
On July 1st, 2019, he took over from Justice Samuel Kofi Date-Bah who resigned from the position as chairman of the Electronic communications tribunal.
He also supervises the affairs and adjudication of appeals at the tribunal as stipulated in the electronic communications Act 2008 (Act 775).
Currently, Mr. Kissi Agyebeng is the managing partner of Cromwell Gray LLP, a renounced law firm in the greater Accra region.
