On social media, Ghanaian rapper Kwaw Kese has descended on those waging a counter-campaign to the #FixTheCountry campaigners.
The state of the nation has been the subject of many critiques and laments on social media. The movement, which began as a one-man initiative, has gained traction, with hundreds of thousands of young people and celebrities taking to social media to call out politicians using the hashtag #FixTheCountry.
Throughout the movement, pro-government backers have used trending hashtags to show their support for the government.
Kwaw Kese, on the other hand, is dissatisfied with the reaction of pro-government backers. In a video posted to his Instagram profile, the rapper bemoaned the fact that he hasn’t had water in his house for three months, despite the fact that he is constantly getting water bills.
“How can you fix yourself when you don’t have water to bath?” the rapper queried.
He accused those leading that campaign of taking money from the government to act foolishly.
