In March early this year, Achimota senior high school denied two Rastafarian students admission to the school in an admission letter issued by indicating that, Tyrone Iras Marhguy and his siblings will only be admitted but on only one condition.
And that is to shave their dreadlocks other than that, they’ve been denied admission to the school.
When this news broke out, most popular personalities like Samini and others who are also with locks, Spite their consent to this issue.
With the voice that, it’s against the fundamental human rights of Marhguy if the school has denied them with admission to study.
Today, just Justice Gifty Agyei Addo of the Accra high court human rights division sat on the case.
After a judicial hearing and assessment of the case, Her Lordship Justice Gifty Agyei Addo passed her verdict by ordering the School to immediately give admission to Tyrone Iras Marhguy and his siblings.
In order for them to be able to continue their Studies in the facility as the reasons as to which the school gave was baseless and moreover, is against their fundamental human rights according to the 1992 constitution of the republic of Ghana.
