Banking In Ghana Amid Covid-19

The emergence of the covid-19 pandemic halted the economic life of almost all nations that were affected. Ghana was no exception to this as the country even went under lockdown for a short period of time to help curb the spread of the virus in the nation.

This affected the banking sector a lot as clients could not visit banking halls anymore to transact business. Most of these clients were people who had little to no knowledge about the use of mobile banking.

However, with the passage of time and the limited number of infections compared to the high rates of recovery, economic and business life has resumed in the country. People now go about their businesses without fear of the pandemic which almost looks like it does not exist in the country at all.

Banking sectors across the country are now operating at full throttle under the adherence of safety and preventive measures. Banks have started recording gradual growth and expect to see a significant rise as the pandemic gets a vaccine to eradicate it once and for all.
