Mr. Ato Afful, the Managing Director (MD) of Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCCL) has dared school children to make reading a habit to achieve a purpose in their lives.
He made this statement while addressing to over 150 school children from certain schools in the Ho Municipality in Volta Region. He advised them to “apply yourselves every day to read. At least half an hour and you will begin to enjoy reading”
In his speech, he made mention of Competition of which he urge all, to seriously partake and must take keen interest in the contest. Some selected schools from the Holy Spirit Cathedral Preparatory include: Springs Preparatory School, Rising Star Academy and Sonrise Christian Preparatory to prepare for an upcoming national essay competition.
Ms. Kate Baaba Hudson, the Editor of the Junior Graphic advised teachers and parents to help children make reading as a habit because it has direct on their performance in school and aspirations in life.
Ms. Hudson advised the schoolchildren to actively take part in the upcoming competition very solemn and work hard towards winning the contest because it comes with attractive packages which include cash prizes.
