We all saw Ghanaian highlife singer, KiDi leaving the VGMA grounds shortly after Diana Hamilton was named as the artist of the year at the event.
Many people were of the view that what KiDi did was not good and they were right to think so. However, the artist has now cleared the air on the issue. Although he has already released some statements concerning the event, KiDi has now clarified the issue properly.
According to the artist in a recent interview with Joy Prime entertainment, he did not have any bad intentions towards the winner or the event organizers while he was leaving. According to him, the main reason why he left was that he was disappointed that he was not able to win the award.
He stated that due to the awards he had won along the line, he thought it was only right that he should be given the ultimate prize. KiDi also revealed that he was further disappointed when Mark Okraku Mantey teased him while announcing the winner with the line “I will be back” this further aggravated his already down mood after he was not announced as the winner.
