Afropop singer, Kelvynboy, has revealed that it was his talent that brought him to where he is today although he got the platform from Stonebwoy.
According to him, his talent was what made him who he is today. He stated that when his fans enjoy the music he makes, that means a lot more to him than any award. This was in reaction to his failure to win any award at the just ended VGMA awards event.
Speaking in an interview on Kingdom Plus with the host Fiifi Pratt, he was asked about why he did not project his talent if he really had one and made it look like t was hidden.
The singer answered “please it was not hidden, if it was, I wouldn’t have been following Stonebwoy because I was his backing vocalist. I backed him and I still got recognized and a lot of people came to see me and take pictures with me. I backed Stonebwoy at a time and he showed me a message that Chronix the Jamaican artiste was admiring my talent. Because of me, the youth are doing Afropop. Previously it was dancehall”
