Ghanaian award-winning gospel singer, Celestine Donkor has disclosed that the Ghanian gospel industry is winning and taking the shine.
Speaking in an interview with GTV Breakfast Show steered by Valarie Danso, she disclosed that some time ago, it was South Africa that was leading in gospel music. Recently it was Nigerians and very soon it will be Ghana.
“We are in the season where it feels really good to say you are a gospel artiste, because to see Joe Mettle won the Artiste of The Year, and Diana, it feels like we are all flying and taking the shine. It has come to calm some of the negative stuffs, and on the globe, we are being heard”.
Celestine Donkor disclosed that ever since she released one of her biggest hit song “Agbebolo“, she has never rested.
She added that she takes inspirations from South Africa and her playlists consist of South African music.
When queried as what made her compose the song “Only You”. She replied that, this song was born out of experience.
“This one I had a group of friends, we had issues like two years ago in our private lives and we decided that we will be meeting and praying about it. We prayed concerning these personal issues, and God miraculously answered each one of us. We didn’t get any mighty man to lay hands on us and cast out anything but just meeting and agreeing to pray, God did wonders”, she stated.
Celestine advised the public to form prayer groups and go on their knees and pray, not only hang out bars, drink and eat.
She concluded by thanking her followers and urging them to like and share her songs.
