Kwame Nkrumah Has Regretted Fighting For Independence, He’s Disappointed In GH Leaders Now – Ghanaians Reacts

September 21, 2021, was a day observed as a national holiday. It was a day marked as the anniversary of one of the founders of present-day Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

In a video shared online and monitored by giantnewsgh.com, Ghanaians reacts to a query probed by the YEN.com.gh on the streets to find out if Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah would be proud of the current state of Ghana if he was alive today.

A gentleman who was seen in a yellow shirt voiced that;

Kwame Nkrumah must be feeling very sad in the land of the dead. All that Nkrumah has worked hard for has gone down the drain and the Ghanaian youths are feeling the heat now”.

Another woman who was seen selling toothpaste said;

“No president has done what Kwame Nkrumah has done. The leaders have failed to make impact like what Kwame Nkrumah did. Ghana would have been a better place to live if he was still alive.”

A passer-by also said it was unnecessary event to be held of someone who died years ago. He added that, a small in memory event should have been held at the seat of the government to honor him instead of the whole country taking a day off.

Zega Ossom said;

“If Kwame Nkrumah comes back today he will not be happy because those who reported him to the CIA have destroyed all he worked for including changing of his achievements from education curriculum.”

William Pitcher said;

“Blame the coup makers and detractors of our progress as a nation. 3 irrelevant coup d’etat in Ghana is enough to throw the country’s good fortunes asunder.”

Nana Yaw Divine Collins said;

“Hmmmm. Even as at now, he has regretted fighting for independence.”
